J&K | Pakistani Drone Spotted In Mangu Chak Village Of Samba District, Search Ops Underway
"Late last night, villagers from Mangu Chak village, Samba informed Police of having spotted a drone in the area. Police carrying out a search operation," J&K police said.
A Pakistani drone was spotted by villagers during late last night in Mangu Chak village along the Indo-Pakistan international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported.
"Late last night, villagers from Mangu Chak village, Samba informed Police of having spotted a drone in the area. Police carrying out a search operation," J&K police said.
The drone stayed in the air for around fifteen minutes before turning around and heading back toward Pakistan. It was observed at a height of 300 metres.
In response to reports of a drone in the region from residents of Samba's Mangu Chak hamlet, security personnel use a drone to conduct a search operation.

Notably, this happened barely a day after the Indian Army discovered another Pakistani drone along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The drone, which was coming from Pakistan, was discovered late Friday night in the Balnoi region of Mendhar, where it drew the notice of security forces, who fired a few rounds at it and drove it away.
Earlier in July, a drone was spotted in Rajpura area of Samba district. The drone was seen in the village of Chilyari, and it left Indian territory from the nearby town of Chak Dulma.
In yet another attempt by the neighbouring nation to infiltrate the area, a Pakistani drone was discovered near the Samba International border on June 3.
